Headmasters are Transformers that essentially share a single mind and can work together seamlessly, but when separated from each other, both retain their individual minds and bodies. This allows for greater cooperation, and with twice the experience, a better understanding of possible combat or other dangerous situations. The binary-bonding process does not damage the body of either party, and both parties are able to carry on with their normal lives, but it does generate a permanent, irreversible bond between their minds. However, the Headmaster component can find themselves with increased strength. (basicly the more dominate mind)
The process does have a few weaknesses. All partnerships on both sides suffer from issues partners have with one another. Phobias, Shyness and Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (example: Sax is mortally afraid of fire due to a trauma. Lortaxe has the same phobia due to the Headmaster link. While Lortaxe has a compulsive twitch to polish durasteel in his freetime. Sax catches himself polishing his Laser Cannon for no apperant reason.)
Twinbrothers dosn't come close to describing the bond between Headmasters
Drawback: Both Transformers must pick a phobia. It can be minor but campain applicable phobia. -1% on all rolls if more then 100 miles appart. Long term separation is an automatic & unavoidable phobia. Can only bond once! negative will always apply if counterpart perishes.
Bonus: "Negative is reduced to -10% if transformers can combine into a single robot. (chip required) (i.e. Sax can use lortaxe skills a -10% because they have the combine chips and can turn into ultra-axe. No skill penalty is en-cured on ultra-axe who has the skills of both transformers)
